Solution 1: File Doctor
You may want to start with QuickBooks file doctor.  It is an inbuilt tool that has the ability to repair damaged or corrupt QBW files.
Solution 2: Open a Sample File
Open a sample file to determine if the problem resides in your specific company file. If a sample file does not open and results in an error, most likely the QuickBooks application is damaged. If this is the case, you and repair your QuickBooks installation or uninstall and reinstall QuickBooks. If the sample file does open, then your file can be damaged. Move to Solution 3 to troubleshoot further.
Solution 3: Rename Files
Rename the .ND and .TLG files by adding _OLD to the file names.  Renaming these files will not cause you to lose QuickBooks data. Once the file is renamed, attempt to open the file again. These two files will automatically re-create when you open your company file.
Solution 4: Restore a Backup
You can restore a backup copy of your company file to check if the problem is with the current company file. When restoring, you can select the same location of where your current file resides, or you can select a test location such as your desktop.
