Import and Share Third-Party Changes in QuickBooks with Qbox

We regularly have new users asking if they can continue to use their third party resources to update their QuickBooks desktop file they are sharing with remote users through Qbox. Regardless of what other systems they are using to update their QuickBooks file, the answer is always YES.

One of the advantages of Qbox is the ability to update one copy of the file with changes from any other system including payroll, POS systems, online resources (T Sheets, Bill.com, Expensify, etc…), and have those changes automatically update to the regular sync folder and files of any remote shared users/computers.

In simple terms, Qbox looks at updates from any user or system as a basic update to the file and that information is automatically shared with any invited users of the folder. As long as the instance of the file is opened and “locked” when the updates occur, all users will receive those changes to their local copy in the Qbox shared folder.
