Achieving Security in Workplace File Sharing

There are many risks and fears that are tied to file sharing tools nowadays. Especially with the influx of cloud type solutions, many are concerned with the security of their file sharing tools. This report conducted by Ponemon Institute LLC, goes over the negative consequences of unsecured file sharing solutions along with the positives of investing in secured solutions. They address the very real and prominent risks of file sharing, the barriers of achieving secure file sharing, how to ensure stronger security practices, as well as some file sharing solutions. With this report in mind, if you are looking for a secured file sharing solution to share your QuickBooks, MS Access, Word, Excel, or Access files, I would highly recommend looking into using Qbox. For example, most traditional file share resources do not work well with QuickBooks. With Qbox, accountants and their clients continue to use the same desktop version of QuickBooks that they are familiar with. However, using Qbox, they have a locally hosted copy of the file that is continually synchronized with their remote client’s copy. In other words, no more sending QBW files back and forth, no more screen sharing, no expensive cloud hosting and no more downloading/uploading of QuickBook files.

Qbox also had a locking technology that avoids the creation of conflicting copies. This means that if you ever do end up with a corrupted file (unrelated to Qbox) Qbox keeps ten different versions or updates of the file so you can easily restore a previous copy with just a few clicks.
